Q: Where’s your favorite place to travel, or a dream destination you’d love to visit? I love traveling to Nashville! I really enjoy the rich history of the town, such as can be found in places like the Ryman auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry. I also love playing guitar and the number of vintage guitar shops in Nashville makes me feel like a kid in a candy store!

Q: What’s your most memorable travel experience? My most memorable travel experience is when I was able to visit the Chateau de Versailles in Paris. The architecture, décor, and landscaping were spectacular and unlike anything I had ever seen.

Q: Who is a family member or person you know who inspires you the most, and why? My grandma is the person who inspires me most. She was one of the most selfless people that I know and was great at seeing the best in any situation.

Dr. Bagwell was born in Greenville and raised in Greer. He attended Greer Middle College Charter High School, where he met the love of his life, Kiara. Although they do not have any children yet, they have an Australian Shepherd named Rosie and two cats, Vincent and Boots.

After high school, Dr. Bagwell attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, where he earned a degree in Biology. While in college, he spent his summers working as an archaeological research technician with faculty members at various sites throughout the Upstate.

Upon graduating from Wofford, Dr. Bagwell attended the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While a student, he pursued advanced training in digital dentistry and became the first to receive a certificate in digital fixed prosthodontic workflows through MUSC’s Innovation Lab. Additionally, Dr. Bagwell was an active volunteer at various free clinics in Charleston, including as a RAM clinic volunteer.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Bagwell enjoys spending time with family and friends. You can often find him fishing, golfing, or playing the guitar.
