Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? I love to spend time with my family by enjoying a good meal and going on an evening walk.  Hearing about my kid’s accomplishments, trials, and shenanigans is the best!

Q: Do you have any hidden talents or skills outside of dentistry? I am a black belt in traditional, Japanese karate and hold a national title in Women’s Fighting.  

Q: What volunteering or passion projects do you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy participating in our local school’s PTO and improvement council.  Supporting our community and our children through advocacy and volunteering is one of my greatest passions and joys.  Go Mustangs!

Dr. Erin Pruett grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Grace Christian School. She attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina and earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. Dr. Pruett knew at the age of seven that she wanted to be a dentist and had great mentors in the Columbia area who worked in dentistry. Upon graduation in 2006, Dr. Pruett was employed as a dental assistant as she continued to pursue her childhood dream of practicing dentistry. She attended the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine and graduated in May of 2012.

Dr. Pruett met her husband Jon in college, and they enjoyed life as newlyweds in Charleston, SC. Upon graduation from MUSC, they decided to return to her hometown of Columbia. Dr. Pruett associated and eventually owned her private practice for over ten years in Columbia. She has enjoyed the relationships that she has with her patients through the years and is looking forward to many more.

In 2025, Dr. Pruett decided to join Family Dental Health and is excited for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization whose primary focus is outstanding patient care.

Dr. Pruett enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon, and children, John and Lily. She also loves to work out, read, and explore our awesome state and national parks.
