Fun Facts with Dr. Simpson
Q: What is the first concert you ever attended?
The Eagles at Clemson Death Valley Stadium, and then I became an Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show fan and was able to attend a few shows before kids came along. My husband and I actually got an opportunity to attend a Jam Cruise, where we saw some great bands including one of our favorites, Railroad Earth, again before kids haha. We now are huge fans of our nephew Bennett Bost, who is on his way to making his mark as a singer and songwriter in Nashville, TN.
Q: Do you have a favorite hobby or activity you enjoy on weekends?
I grew up on Lake Keowee, and when we aren’t on the soccer fields, we love boating, swimming, fishing, and playing with cousins on the lake.
Q: Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Morning person for sure. I love seeing the morning sun rise and soaking in the silence with a cup of coffee and the Bible. Now I’ll admit that sometimes it’s a hustle during the school week to get out the door on time, especially when we have safety patrol duties at the elementary school. My ability to stay up late has dwindled over the years, and I’m known to fall asleep on the regular each evening on the coach after the last kid is put to bed.

Dr. Simpson's Story
Dr. Jane is a native of South Carolina. She was born in Greenville, but raised in Walhalla, where she graduated from Walhalla High School in 1998. She went on to attend Marshall University in West Virginia, where she
graduated summa cum laude. She was proud to be a part of Marshall University’s inaugural Division 1 women’s soccer team. Go Thundering Herd!
After completing her degree in exercise science, Dr. Jane returned to South Carolina and did a 3-year adventure role teaching environmental education for the Barrier Island Environmental Education Center located on Seabrook Island, SC.
Dr. Jane has always had a passion for dentistry. Influenced by her cousin, who was her dentist, and being filled with the desire to help others and learn more about dentistry, Dr. Jane decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She applied and was accepted to the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina Dental Medicine program. Upon graduation, Dr. Jane decided to pursue a career in dentistry in the one place she always loved, the Upstate of South Carolina.
She worked within various locations throughout the upstate before settling in Greer where she owned and operated Crescent Family Dentistry for almost 14 years. She is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, Piedmont District Dental Society, International Dental Implant Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Jane implemented Cerec technology into her practice in 2014 and enjoys providing high-quality CAD/CAM crowns and large restorations in a single visit. This technology also allows her to do digital impressions and expands her ability to provide beautiful and functional crowns, bridges, implant restorations and removable partials and dentures while working with talented dental lab technicians. Dr. Jane also completed an extensive dental implant, surgical, bone grafting training course and is excited to offer this option to her patients as well.
Dr. Jane and her husband, BJ Simpson, have 3 growing boys (Liam-13, Everett- 11, Connor-6) who spend lots of time on the soccer field with the Furman United Soccer Club. Dr. Jane is an active member of Pebble Creek Baptist Church where her husband serves as Senior Pastor and Youth Pastor. She also teaches the Youth 6-12th grade Sunday School class at her church. When time allows, she loves spending time outside, whether at Lake Keowee, hiking a mountain trail, or fishing at the beach. Her happy place is always spending time with family and her sweet Goldendoodle, Waylon.
