Dr. Kalyn Marquette was born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After finishing high school, she attended The University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Health Sciences. While attending UK, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and many other on campus organizations. Dr. Marquette then went to attend the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She was very involved at UK’s College of Dentistry where she was the President of Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity, a member of American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD), the social chairman for the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), and a volunteer at Mission Lexington outreach dental clinic. She had the honor of being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the Nation Dental Honor Society, which elects 8 members of the graduating class who have distinguished themselves by a high grade scholarship.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Marquette continued her education at a General Practice Residency program at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina. There she trained in sedation dentistry, implant dentistry, oral surgery, and treating medically complex and special needs patients. While attending this residency, she fell in love with the state of South Carolina and wanted to move to the upstate.

Dr. Marquette is excited to be living in the upstate with her husband, Dr. Miles Marquette (also an FDH dentist) and their dog, Honey. The Marquette’s met when they were attending dental school together in Kentucky and have been by each others side ever since. While in dental school, Dr. Marquette took a passion in fostering dogs with a local rescue organization which led her to adopt her beloved dog, Honey. During her free time, Dr. Marquette enjoys going hiking with Honey, group fitness, following Kentucky sports and Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!) football, and reading too many books to count.
