Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? I love going for a walk after a long day. I’ll usually listen to an audiobook or call a friend while I’m walking.

Q: If you weren’t a dentist, what other career could you see yourself in? I think I would be a teacher in some capacity. I have always loved teaching, whether I’m teaching dance or serving as a teaching assistant for dental school courses.

Q: What’s your most memorable travel experience? My most memorable travel experience was a dental mission trip to Rwanda. I had the opportunity to work alongside local dentists to provide care to people with limited access to dental services, visit the dental school in Kigali, and go on a safari in Akagera National Park. It was an unforgettable experience!

Dr. Mallory Swedberg grew up in Clemson, South Carolina, where she attended Daniel High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University. During college, she taught dance at Cheryl’s Dance Studio and served as a WyldLife leader at R.C. Edwards Middle School.

After graduating from Clemson, Dr. Swedberg moved to Charleston to attend the Medical University of South Carolina, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at MUSC, she served as a supplemental instructor and teaching assistant for several courses and held a leadership position in Dental Community Fellowship. Through this organization, she helped plan events for her classmates, volunteered at community outreach events, and participated in mission trips to Ecuador and Rwanda.

Dr. Swedberg is excited to be back in the Clemson area and to once again teach dance at the studio where she first learned and later taught while attending college. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with her family.

As a general dentist with Family Dental Health, Dr. Swedberg provides comprehensive care, including restorative, cosmetic, and emergency dentistry. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and believes that good oral health can have a positive impact on overall health and confidence. She looks forward to helping each patient achieve and maintain a healthy smile.
