A lifelong resident of Columbia, SC, Dr. Major earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and then earned his DMD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. To continue his training, Dr. Major completed a General Practice Residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital with the East Carolina University Department of Family Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. During this residency, Dr. Major received advanced training in patient care techniques.

Dr. Major is also a graduate of the Pankey Institute, a world-renowned facility that teaches complex restorative treatment planning and advanced therapies for occlusal (bite) problems. Pankey-trained dentists are taught how to create a practice that reflects the highest level of professionalism. Dr. Major will discuss treatment options, answer questions fully, and counsel you on making appropriate choices. Dr. Major is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Major has shared 38 wonderful years with his wife, Robin, while raising two sons, who are now adults. He stays active at the YMCA and enjoys weekend grilling and landscaping projects. He is an avid college sports fan who is always counting down the days until his next Caribbean getaway!
