Dr. Emery Buckhouse grew up in Florence, SC, and is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. Inspired by her mother’s career in healthcare, she discovered her passion for helping others early in life. Dr. Buckhouse’s aptitude for working with her hands was evident from a young age, whether through playing the piano or sewing alongside her grandmother. Driven to combine her talents and passions, she chose to pursue a career in dentistry.

She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine. To further refine her skills, Dr. Buckhouse completed advanced training through the General Practice Residency program at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. During her residency, she gained expertise in Implant Surgeries and Restorations, Tooth Extractions, and IV Sedation.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Buckhouse enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and enthusiastically supporting the South Carolina Gamecocks.
