Dr. Eric Benfield was born and raised in Greenville, S.C. He attended Pelham Road Elementary, Greenville Middle and Eastside High School. After high school Eric attended The Citadel where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While a cadet at The Citadel, he was a member of the Summerall Guards, a premier military drill unit and served as Delta Company Commander. Dr. Benfield then went on to attend the Medical University of South Carolina where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Benfield is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Benfield and his wife Casey met while attending Eastside High School where they were high school sweethearts. Eric and Casey married in May of 2016 at Taylors First Baptist Church. Casey grew up in Taylors, S.C. and graduated from Clemson University. Eric and Casey enjoy spending their time with family and friends, going to the lake, attending sporting events, traveling and playing with their yellow lab named Bear. Dr. Benfield and his wife are excited to officially be back home in Greenville!
