Q: What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work? I love going on overseas dental mission trips. So far, I’ve been to Ecuador, Peru, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.

Q: Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? I play the guitar and piano.

Ken grew up in Lake City, a small, rural town in South Carolina. He went to Carolina Academy from kindergarten through 12th grade, and after graduating in 2014, he began his undergraduate studies at Clemson University. At Clemson, Ken earned two degrees – his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and his Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education. During his time at Clemson, he was a bullpen catcher for the Clemson Baseball team, a student teacher at Daniel High School, and an assistant coach for the Daniel High Varsity and JV Baseball teams.

After graduating from Clemson in 2018, Ken attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he began his journey of becoming a dentist. In 2022, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. 

During Ken’s time at MUSC, he served as the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) President. In addition, he was very involved with Dental Community Fellowship, North Charleston Dental Outreach Clinic, and participated in overseas mission trips to Ecuador, Peru, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. He still enjoys traveling with his mentor, Dr. Bill Sasser, on international dental mission trips. 

Ken met his wife, Mary Webb, in middle school. After dating for almost 10 years, they were married in Mary Webb’s hometown of Kingstree, South Carolina in May 2020. They love time spent with friends kayaking, traveling, and serving in ministry locally and internationally. Although Ken and his wife have lived in many parts of the Palmetto state, they are thankful to be back home in the Clemson area.
