Fun Facts with Dr. Daley

Q: What’s the one item you can’t live without? Call it what you will, an item or not. Some may say family which is a total “no-brainer”, but the one thing I can’t live without would be my dogs. No matter how your day is going or what’s happening in your life, my dogs are there unconditionally. Their energy, their devotion, their quirkiness will always leave me in a better mood.

Q: What’s your favorite season, and why? Springtime minus the pollen. It always seems to be the least hectic time of the year; The new growth and colors of spring are blossoming. It feels like a new start, a “reset”, that seems to breathe new motivation and energy into your wellbeing.

Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? I alternate between gym workout days and runs days; nothing helps you clear your mind better than an endorphin rush after an intense workout.

Dr. Daley's Story

I originated from a small community in upstate New York where life was slow and relaxed. A tight knit town where literally everybody knew everybody else. Shortly before my 18th birthday, I left NY and only returned to visit throughout the years. My life’s adventures took me through many years of serving in the US Army. The ability to see so many places in this wonderful worldand expand my experiences provided a great foundation to build the rest of my life on.

I eventually ended up in North Carolina where I worked on my undergraduate education. Afterwards, I moved to Columbia where I continued some additional undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina. That led me to pursue my doctorate degree in dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating in 1998.

Following the completion of dental school, I returned to the Irmo area where I eventually set up a private practice. That next chapter in my life involved over a quarter of a century practicing general and family dentistry.

I am the father of a large, blended family of 7 children, all of whom are at different stages of their lives and recently I became a first-time grandparent. Our lives nowadays are filled with an abundance of family time, making fun memories, and lots of laughter.  I now reside in the Chapin area with my family.

Recently I was afforded the opportunity to come aboard Family Dental Health, a decision that I welcomed and look forward to with an abundance of optimism. I always find it exciting to see how God’s plans work in our lives and to be constantly reminded to be thankful for all our blessings.
