Q: What’s your go to karaoke song? I don’t really sing karaoke, but if I did it would have to be something country. It channels my inner twang and southern charm. 

Q: What’s your idea of a perfect vacation? I have two. My dream destination vacation is to Italy. I hope to go there soon. My ideal relaxation vacation is camping at the lake. Completely disconnect and unwind. I do that best when camping.

Dr. Ron Calcutt grew up in Belmont, NC and attended Clemson University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 1997. After graduating from Clemson University, Dr. Calcutt moved to Charleston and attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his DMD degree in 2002. Dr. Calcutt is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. 

After graduation from dental school, Dr. Calcutt moved to Pickens, SC and worked as an associate in a very busy private practice. It was during this time in private practice that Dr. Calcutt decided to pursue private practice as an owner, and in September of 2004, he started his own private practice in Fountain Inn, SC. 

In 2009, Dr. Calcutt met his wife, Tanya, and they were married in January 2012. Together they have 3 children (Chase, Mattie and Parker) and 6 dogs. So, I guess it is safe to say that Dr. Calcutt is dog guy! 

In 2022, Dr. Calcutt decided to merge his private practice with Family Dental Health and he couldn’t be more excited about the future. It is a true blessing to join such an amazing organization and continue to practice beside and with wonderful people and ambassadors for dentistry. Dr. Calcutt’s favorite part about dentistry is making connections with patients and creating a great experience with each visit. He views each patient opportunity as a privilege and looks forward to continuing a high level of service and care to each and every patient.

In his free time, Dr. Calcutt loves to attend Clemson sporting events, play golf, work in the yard and camp at the lake.
