Dr. Hannah Roth was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She grew up spending her time at the beach or on the boat. While she wasn’t in the water, Dr. Roth was at the skating rink. She was an avid competitive figure skater, and spent most of her time outside of school training and going to competitions all over the East Coast. She went on to become a US Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist. To supplement her skating, she started ballet at a local dance studio, and then went to Charleston County School of the Arts for middle school and high school, where she was a dance major.
From a young age, Dr. Roth was always interested in becoming a dentist one day. Her aunt offered to have her come shadow her for a “Job Shadow Day” off from school while in elementary school. She continued to go back and shadow her aunt and decided she would pursue dentistry every since. Dr. Roth shadowed multiple dentists throughout high school and college, and went on a dental mission trip one summer during her time at Clemson. This solidified her love for dentistry, and she applied for dental school shortly after.
Dr. Roth graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. During her time at Clemson she enjoyed spending time on Lake Keowee and working as a waitress and bartender at TDs in downtown Clemson. After graduating from Clemson, she returned home to Charleston and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, cooking, exercising, and of course, cheering on the Tigers! She is excited to be back in the Upstate, and to be closer to Clemson and the lake. Dr. Roth looks forward to serving the wonderful people of the Upstate.
