Mollie Duke, DMD
Dr. Mollie Duke was born and raised in Easley, South Carolina. Since Mollie remembers cheering on the Clemson Tigers from a young age, it was only natural that she became a true Clemson Tiger herself! She earned her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences with a minor in French from Clemson University. Her passion for watching the Tigers play persists to this day.
Mollie continued on to Charleston at the Medical University of South Carolina to earn her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. She was awarded a four year Health Professions Scholarship from the Air Force. Mollie was elected class treasurer by her peers and participated in Give Kids a Smile, Dental Access Day, local free clinics, Habitat for Humanity, and many other extracurricular activities.
While at Clemson, Mollie had met her future husband Josh while he was visiting home in Walhalla from his initial Army training. His first duty station was at Fort Stewart, Georgia, which is right outside Savannah. After his two long deployments to Iraq and many weekend drives between Charleston and Savannah, Mollie and Josh decided to tackle the rest of life together by getting married in 2010. Josh was so supportive of Mollie’s dental education that he even volunteered to assist her for her dental boards!
After graduating from MUSC, Mollie and Josh packed up their home to move to San Antonio, TX with their two dogs Savannah and Max. Mollie was stationed at Lackland AFB where she had the opportunity to work with colleagues and treat patients from all over the world. Her clinical volunteer work centered on treating children of the military families. San Antonio will always hold a special place in the Dukes’ heart because their first child Madelyn was born there. After Maddie arrived, the desire to bring the Dukes home to South Carolina became irresistible. A visit to the upstate during her first Thanksgiving was all it took for the wheels to be set in motion. They welcomed their second child, as son, Bryson in February 2017.
Mollie has enjoyed getting settled back close to family and friends. She completed her military career with service to the Air National Guard, but continues to support her husband’s military service with the Army Reserves. In their spare time, Mollie, her husband and their two children love backpacking, trying new local restaurants, drinking coffee, visiting zoos and parks, and spending time with their toes in the sand or out on the water.
