Dr. Tomek Charowski along with his wife Megan and two rescue pups, Sarge and Shelby, are excited to return to the upstate.
Dr. Tomek grew up in Anderson and attended Christ Church Episcopal School, where he helped lead the Cavaliers to their first four state soccer championships. From there, he went on to attend Duke University on a collegiate soccer scholarship. After an injury cut his professional soccer career short, he decided to pursue his other dream of becoming a dentist and completed his requirements at Clemson University before moving to Charleston. He met his wife Megan while attending MUSC and they were married in 2014.
After graduation, Dr. Tomek served his country in the Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA. They were then stationed for 3 years at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX. There he pursued his passion of general dentistry with a focus on IV sedation, surgical extractions (including wisdom teeth), implants, and cosmetic dentistry. After his Air Force commitment was complete, Dr. Tomek followed his wife to Memphis, TN while she completed a pediatric dental residency. Always looking to learn and grow, he is currently taking courses to become a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Tomek enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors hiking with the dogs, snow skiing, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers! After many years of traveling and relocating to different states, the Charowskis are excited to settle down in the upstate and be close to family.
