Q: Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about? I’m a certified open water scuba diver and get an adrenaline rush every dive!

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I used to want to be a pilot! I love flying, traveling, and exploring new places.

Dr. Keith Tormey was born in Anderson, SC but was raised down the road in Greer, SC. He attended Buena Vista and Woodland Elementary, Riverside Middle and graduated from Riverside High School in 2012. After high school, Keith attended Clemson University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science in 2016. While at Clemson, he worked as the student manager for the Men’s soccer team where they won the 2014 ACC Championship and were 2015 National finalists. In addition to soccer and sports, Keith has a passion for travel, and was an avid member of VIDA where he traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala for dental mission work. 

Upon graduation from Clemson, Dr. Tormey became a substitute teacher in Greenville County Schools and later enrolled in the Master of Science in Medical Science program at the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon receiving his masters degree in 2018, Keith was accepted into the College of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2022, and served as Class President for all for four years. Dr. Tormey was awarded the Robert L Holmes Scholarship, American College of Dentists Student Leadership award, and the MUSC Alumni Student Leadership award upon graduation for his exemplary leadership, character, and scholastic achievement. Dr. Tormey was also an avid member of the American Student Dental Association, as well as Dental Community Fellowship where he continued his international mission work in Ecuador. 

When not in the dental office, you can find Dr. Tormey spending time with his family and friends, at every Clemson sporting event, hanging out on the lake, or traveling! He loves to visit Ireland, where all his extended family still currently lives. 

Dr. Tormey is beyond excited to be back home in the Upstate and is ready to serve the wonderful patients of the community in which he grew up.
