Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An astronaut! I fell in love with space at space camp and begged my parents to take me to a shuttle launch in 6th grade!  

Q: How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza? Pepperoni and pineapple is my favorite! 

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chicken quesadilla with chips and queso! 

Q: If you couldn’t be a dentist, what would your second career be? A wedding planner or an attorney. 

Q: Does your family have any weird traditions? We wear matching pajamas on Christmas morning, even the dogs!

Dr. Long grew up in Seneca, South Carolina and graduated from Walhalla High school. She attended the University of South Carolina Honors College for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a B.S. in Public Health and a minor in Business Administration.

After graduating from South Carolina, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine and earned her degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. During her time at MUSC, she served as Student Body President, was honored with the American College of Dentists Outstanding Leadership award, and was inducted into the MUSC Student Leadership Society.

Dr. Long enjoys serving locally and internationally on dental service trips, mentoring dental students, and participating in community events. In her free time, you can find her practicing yoga, traveling, playing golf, and cheering on the Gamecocks.

Dr. Long lives in Mount Pleasant with her goldendoodle, Melly, and is a member of East Cooper Baptist Church. She is excited to serve the community of Isle of Palms!
